If you follow us on Facebook, you will have seen all our hints about something big coming, and that we planned to change our name. Well, here it is. Our new name is…High Country Skincare!
I think it keeps the idea of high altitude, dry climate, and dry skin but includes anywhere that has weather or mountains like Colorado. We also kept most of our Colorado Creme logo because it’s instantly recognizable even if you forget our name.
We have been trying to think of a name that would work nationwide for years, years I tell you. None of them were quite right. I have little scraps of paper all over my desk with name ideas. But after last years’ trade show in Denver, where we had real interest from out of state, the hunt for a new name got serious.
Finally, last October High Country Skincare popped up out of the mess of my brain, and amazingly, it wasn’t already taken. As soon as we finished the last craft fair in December, we began designing labels and creating a new website and marketing.
The other big difference you will see, besides a cool new website, is that we have discontinued the body mousse in the bottles. I know some of you love them, but we’re focusing on what sells best. Keep an eye out on the Facebook page for future clearance of products with Colorado Crème labels.
So, we’ve got our sights on producing what you want the most—high quality, affordable, natural skincare that works even for sensitive skin in the dry climates of the West. Check out our new sleek website and leave me a comment about what you think. I’d love to hear from you!
